The Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
Pactrans Air & Sea, Inc operates under the terms and
conditions of U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation
Security Administration (TSA)
Part of the Department of Homeland Security, this agency
branch was created in the wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001,
to strengthen the security of the Nation's transportation systems. With state,
local and regional partners, they oversee security for the highways, railroads,
buses, mass transit systems, ports and the 450 U.S. airports. As an Indirect
Air Carrier, Pactrans Air & Sea, Inc follows the guidelines presented in
the Indirect Air Carrier Standard Security Program (IACSSP). This program
requires Pactrans Air & Sea, Inc. to employ numerous screening methods to
categorize all outgoing cargo as either coming from a “known” or “unknown”
shipper through the use of the TSA ‘known shipper” database. Once classified,
this status determines how the cargo will be handled by our IAC Security
trained Air Exports Department staff. More information about the TSA program
and these requirements can be found at the TSA website address listed below.
